Clinic Projects
Through the generous support of our donors and partners, Friends of Fronteras Saludables has helped supply the Health Frontiers in Tijuana (HFiT) clinic with essential resources that directly improve patient care and clinical operations. These contributions include:
An ultrasound machine to enhance diagnostic capabilities and support prenatal care
Laptops for use by medical interns and staff, improving record-keeping, telehealth access, and clinical training
Rent assistance to ensure the clinic’s stability during challenging periods
Medical supplies and medications critical to the clinic’s daily operations
COVID-19 response resources, including protective equipment and sanitation materials
HIV test kits which are essential for determining a patient’s status and initiating timely treatment
Supporting the HFiT Internship Program
We proudly partner with a dedicated group of volunteers and students from UC San Diego who help operate the Health Frontiers in Tijuana (HFiT) clinic. These passionate individuals serve on the front lines of care, and we work closely with them to ensure they have the tools and supplies they need to serve patients effectively.
When the team identifies specific needs—whether clinical, educational, or logistical—we respond by providing the requested materials. In the past, we’ve supplied a wide range of essential items, including blood pressure cuffs, cleaning products, personal protective equipment (PPE), and other critical supplies that support both the clinic’s daily operations and patient safety.
By equipping these volunteers and students with the resources they need, we help empower a new generation of healthcare providers committed to cross-border service and health equity.
